Gratitude is a feeling that is intimately related to happiness, and, fortunately, it can be cultivated consciously.
We need gratitude more than ever, especially this year when people are either fearful or worried about the current events affecting each of us every day and are even concerned about what the future will hold for us. I have realized that to be happy in life over the last few years, and we need to focus on what we have and feel grateful for all things. All those people have enabled us to gain all that we have right now.
Create or purchase a lovely personal journal. Then, every day you get up, write down at least three to five good things in your life for which you feel grateful, and do the same thing again at night. This will keep you focused, and you will also be starting and ending each day on a positive note. The next thing to do, think of all those who have contributed to enabling you to have those things in life. Write their names, consciously, and bless them. You can put people like your family and close friends. Please close your eyes and visualize their faces or even places like your school and workplaces. Then, visualize those objects and people and then consciously send your blessings towards them from your heart. If you do this exercise for some time, you will start to feel happier and happier day by day.
This is because we live in a loving and caring Universe. The universe loves people who are grateful. It is one of the greatest secrets of life. You need to believe it to be true, and if you do as suggested, you will realize that it is actually true.
Another related secret to happiness is to focus on what you can do about a situation rather than focusing upon all those things about which you can do nothing. Feeling grateful for what we have and feeling thankful to those who have contributed to us. It cultivates our inner power. Giving back to society for the love and support that we ourselves have received is the way to live happily and constructively. A lifestyle like such can truly fulfill us with happiness and meaning.
Whether we are conscious of it or not, every thought, word, attitude, and emotion can carry the energy and affects how we feel, our immune system, and our wellness. This energy also radiates and affects others around us.
Abundance, peace, and joy can come into our lives without us knowing. In fact, a positive atittude can increase your life expectancy. It is physiologically impossible to be stressed or fearful and Grateful at the same moment. People who write gratitude journals and practice being more grateful regularly will feel better about their lives and also be more optimistic. You are more likely to make progress toward important personal goals. You will have higher levels of positive alertness, attentiveness, and determination. You will sleep better at night and have more energy throughout the day.
People showing gratitude are less likely to judge their own and others' success in terms of possessions accumulated. They are less envious of the wealthy people and are more likely to share their possessions with other relatives to less grateful persons.
When you remember to say “Thank You” for all your many blessings, large and small, you will attract more that you will be thankful for all your life.
It instantly connects us to the present moment. In fact, it feels absolutely wonderful. The fact that gratitude is so easy to come by gives us one more reason to be grateful. If you begin showing gratitude and keeping your mind clear of your negative thoughts, then your life will begin to improve massively. It may not be easy at first, but practice makes perfect.
